painting commission

So firstly today I had another art stall on at my church and did well selling around £100 worth or frames, cards, mounts and canvases - a good day's work!

And finally I have my first paid commission painting finished yay! It's always nice to be paid aswell doing something you love. It was painted from a photograph and I'm pleased with how it's turned out. Though it's just paint it does make me realise how much I enjoy drawing nature whether its animals or trees and just making it slightly magical in some way. I think it's kind of the direction I want to take my artwork and define my style as an artist. Sooo anyway here is the process and the finished work. .

At the weekend I had a stall on at the arts market at out of the blue in Leith Walk. Here are pictures of me being lovely and friendly on the stall :) It went fairly well - managed to sell lots of my greeting cards and an original framed piece which I was very pleased with. All the canvases will be available to buy at the next stall I'm doing which will be at my church next month. Details to follow.

Out of the Blue arts market

Ohhh exciting!
I shall be doing a stall at Out of the blue arts market next month. I'll be selling mostly illustration work but also some photography too. Theres also lots of yummy food at the cafe if your feeling a bit pekish too. Hope to all see you there, it would be lovely to have lots of support :)

Easter cards

My easter cards are all finished and printed.

 I'm pleased at the feedback I've gotten and have managed to sell 125 cards so far!

My exhibition

Exciting news folks a few of my pieces of art are now up in a gallery :)

The exhibition is called "New Beginnings" and along with lots and lots of lovely artwork too. If you'd like to come and see the exhibition you are more than welcome. It is currently running on til the end of March (weekends only) at the Gallery at the Corn Exchange in Biggar. I have 2 framed pieces up on the wall and several in the browser tray too - the deer picture I've been informed has been sold now yey!
